Buhari meets Kenyan Deputy President, Ruto

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday met behind closed doors with Deputy President of Kenya, Mr. Williams Ruto, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The president also met with the President of the Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki.

It was believed that Ruto delivered a message from President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya to Buhari.
Saraki’s visit to the Villa was the third in one week since the Senate rejected the president’s $29.9bn foreign loan request.
The meeting between the president and Saraki lasted about two hours.
On November 4, the president of the senate had a meeting with Buhari after joining him in Jumat prayers at the State House Mosque. He also met with the president on Wednesday.
Saraki, who briefly spoke to State House correspondents after the meeting, pleaded with Nigerians not to politicise the rejection of the loan request by the senate.
